Radiography Odense

We are eager to welcome exchange students for clinical placements

The basement at the health education campus in Odense is the very busy home of the diagnostic imaging labs for the Department of Radiography, and students and faculty are always around working with the outstanding collection of imaging equipment at the Research Centre.

The Research Centre laboratories equal a miniature image diagnostic department: we have x-ray equipment, MR and CT scanner, ultra sound apparatus, phantoms, measurement equipment and more.
For additional information about the imaging equipment at the Department of Radiography, click here.

We cooperate with producers ensuring that our equipment is always up-to date. The cooperation ensures a very high image quality in our DR system. Canon Europe is e.g. using our equipment as test facility.
Furthermore, this cooperation recently allowed three radiography students to work on a joint project between UCL and Canon Europe.

Opportunities for Exchange Students

While our full Bachelor in Radiography programme is taught only in Danish, we are eager to welcome exchange students for clinical placements and we are also able to include exchange students in some of our more hands on classes.

This means that exchange students can enjoy a combination of practice in our learning labs and on the job training in clinical placements. All clinical placements include supervision at the placement by a specially trained radiography educator.

The radiography educator at your clinical placement works with you, the student, and with your academic advisor at University College Lillebaelt to ensure, that you maximize the time you spend here and achieve your educational goals for the placement period.

The Full-degree Bachelor in Radiography

At this time, the full-degree programme is only taught in Danish. The programme is 3 ½ years long, and graduates of the programme are sought after in the Danish health care sector, where they receive special authorisation.
